Introduction

This page is a sketchbook for all the participants to read about the itinerary. So far the Itinerary seems VERY interesting since we would be visiting 3 countries in The South of Africa. From my previous trips in Africa it does seem VERY exciting... The itinerary will cover Scuba diving, Cage Diving, Game Drives (Driving though Wildlife Parks), and many more activities!.

What to Expect

This is by no means a relaxing trip with 22 days on the beach sunbathing :-P. We will be traveling by car sometimes on rough terrains for several hours on some days, and maybe arriving at sundown to setup camp. Hotels/rooms/hostels have not been included in the fare, but from what I have been told, for an extra 10/20 US Dollars (per room) a night it should be possible to stay in a Hotel if the group prefers so. Camp sites are not always setup with full facilities. Some may have bathrooms which is good news :-) . We will be buying provisions for the trip every few days, and mostly cooking on the camp site for breakfast and dinner. Lunches are mostly improvised with a sandwich maybe.

What to pack

This is mostly subjective, but please bear in mind that the group might be large and we cannot carry huge suitcases. Mostly do bring comfortable shoes with a spare pair. Comfortable clothes are a must, and fancy clothing will not be used anywhere. A suggestion would be to pack also a shirt, underwear and pants in a sealed plastic bag for the last day of the trip, since laundry might not be an option. Headbands, neck protection, hats, maybe gloves if weather requires it. Obviously all type of camera equipment is HIGHLY recommended like Binoculars/Monoculars Cameras and Video Cameras. Please do bear in mind though that equipment will have to be carried around for 22 days through sandy environments and bumpy roads. A Tent, sleeping bag and toiletries are a must since we will be camping most of the times (Soap, Shampoo, Towel, Personal Hygiene, etc)...
